In April of this year, Martha and Maria traveled to the Samburu region of Kenya to meet the ladies of Umoja-Uaso, and begin making a film about their remarkable experiment.

With camera in hand, they also met many other women in the area, including Setila Lenkokwai, a pioneering female politician.
