Gambale and her collaborators (including frequent partner in editing Camille June Gregoire) bring insightful experience and a sophisticated documentary vocabulary to tell the stories and sing the accomplishments of organizations and companies, whether it be for social media, virtual benefit galas or direct information to clients. VDM provides services from pre to post, and work with clients - many of whom are utilizing video for the first time - to develop and execute a well-articulated vision. Below is a selection.
Accompany Capital 2022
In 2022, we got to work with the incredible people at Accompany Capital for the second year in a row, this time with editor Jessica Lee Salas onboard. With pandemic pressures somewhat relieved, we were able to spend a little more time with the incredible awardees and tell richer stories. Here are four highlights.
Accompany Capital 2021
2021 was our first partnership with Accompany Capital, to create content featuring their amazing 2020 gala honorees. Accompany Capital creates a pathway to self-sufficiency for immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs in New York City by providing access to affordable credit, empowering with financial education, and offering training in best business practices and technology. Our five subjects - Fatoumata, Luz, Rafik, Roxane and Luz - all had inspiring stories and it was easy to make them shine, in brief videos that were then shared with supporters of the organization to highlight the important and beautiful work Accompany Capital does in NYC. All of these videos were edited and co-directed by Camille Gregoire.

Starts With Us
When we heard about SWU’s incredible mission - to create opportunities for people to see that we’re more alike than different - we knew we had to be a part of it, even though it meant venturing into the mysterious territory of TikTok. With editor Betsy Nagler, we worked with their concept of getting user-generated content of women starting their days, with the background that everyone is going through something.
iMentor
This past fall, VDM filmed three inspiring young speakers in an engaging panel for iMentor hosted by the formidable Maria Hinojosa. This was a relatively simple job, but no simple challenge to create bite-sized excerpts from the one hour long, free-ranging, critical discussion for the organization’s social media channels. Drivers Benefits
In the first week of March 2020, VDM was contacted by Drivers Benefits - whose mission is to help drivers for Black Car services in New York State get the benefits they deserve - to make COVID-19 safety videos for their drivers. There was an incredible urgency to get good, helpful information to these drivers as soon as possible because it was clear how exposed they were to risk. The drivers were the cast and we worked at lightning speed to create 4 topic videos in 4 languages in the space of one week. Here are two of them.
